Steven and Trish (Curtis) Schloeder were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on 3 July 2005 at the Parish Church and Diocesan Shrine of St. Therese in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The church was Steven’s first fully realized church project, and his bride wanted especially to be married in a church that was “truly beautiful”. Friends and family from across the US joined the couple for the marriage ceremony followed by a festive Independence Day fireworks display at the reception.

Msgr. Patrick Brankin, pastor of St. Therese and a close friend of Steven’s, celebrated the Nuptial Mass, and then donned an apron over his cassock to help the St. Therese Men’s Club cook and serve the delicious barbecue reception dinner.
